Haiti, despite your history's misery and your latent progress you have accomplished the "impossible" though your exploiters and supressers deemed you incompetent. You united and convened together, using "L'union Fait la Force" as your motto, to defeat slavery, discrimination, and racism and to uphold and promote "liberté, égalité, fraternité".

Now 200 years later let us all retreat and reflect on our proud history, and let us use this history as a tool to lift Haiti's head up once again, because it's been down for too long. Let us live by our motto, so Haiti can live again.

Haiti, change will find you someday; sorry it's taking so long. I love you.
